Qld Colonial Houses - Purchasing
Purchase of a Removal House: Once a client decides to purchase, contracts for the purchase of the removal house, the shift to their site, and the stumping of the house are entered into. Our removal homes are sold subject to Council approval for the re-siting of the house, and site accessibility. The whole process is carefully explained to the buyer, including explanation of Council processes including Council bonds and permits etc.
Council Applications: Generally, there are two applications to be considered by Council. The first application allows the Council to consider the project on its merits, and to set a performance bond. Once this is obtained, then a Building Application and Plumbing Application are submitted.
Insurance: Our removal contractors have full insurance cover against major damage during transit, and our buyers are welcome to discuss this insurance with the contractor at any time.
Building Inspections and Pest Inspections: It is the responsibility of the buyer to satisfy themselves that they are making an informed decision, therefore we have no objection to buyers arranging independent inspections before purchasing. |
